At Woven Monkey we're delighted to have been involved in helping the BBC One series 'DIY SOS: The Big Build'.

The programme features Chloe who has Aspergers and Mastocytosis, a rare genetic disorder. As a result, Chloe requires constant access to oxygen, must be fed through a tube in her chest and is prone to seizures that cause her joints to dislocate and stop her breathing. Chloe currently lives with her mum Susie, stepdad Phil and stepbrother Josh.

To improve Chloe's life and future-proof her care and accommodation, the DIY SOS team redesigned the entire house to provide Chloe with independence, thanks to her own self-contained apartment, complete with bedroom, wet room and sitting room.

Woven Monkey supplied printed fabric to DIY SOS, which was used to create curtains as part of the renovation. The design was created by none other than Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen.

The episode will be show on BBC 1 at 9pm on 22nd March.
