This is a fabric design based on a vintage, tattoo-inspired original paper cut of a swallow by Sea Salt and Samphire. I imagine the swallow is carrying a love letter from a sailor back to his sweetheart standing on the shore. All my paper cut designs are hand-drawn and hand-cut with a scalpel. To create the fabric design I scan the original papercut and then manipulate with computer software to ensure it is suitable for printing on fabric. All Sea Salt and Samphire designs are original and under copyright to Lindsey Hills.

DPI

Dots per inch or DPI as it is often abbreviated to is a measurement for image resolution. It signifies the quality of an image. Any design uploaded to Woven Monkey must be at least 150 DPI, and all images will first appear at this resolution. However, you have the option on the site to alter the DPI. For example you may have created an image at 300 DPI. Once you have uploaded your design you can change it from 150 to 300 DPI using the plus button provided.

Design Preview

The preview is a representation of how your design will appear on the fabric. It is your opportunity to check the order before it is printed. The rulers indicate the exact length and width (in cm) of your fabric. Any white areas will be left unprinted and if the design is cut off it will be printed like this.
