We are part of a maker space called Buinho. We are located in the South of Portugal, in the rural village of Messejana in Alentejo. Canito is the regional word for small dog. Our maker space is a place to test and develop ideas. It is a place where local communities can enhance their production capability and creativity. The fabric designs aim to bring a new punch to traditional house apparel products that are made in this region. The style of our designs is based on the characteristics of the village where we are located: Mediterranean simplicity and bright colours that make us remember the earthy tones of landscape, the blue sky and local houses. By buying our patterns you are contributing to the development of our design ideas and space of production.
