Laura has a studio The Little Pincushion in Gillingham (Dorset, England), and runs an independent digital sewing pattern website Laura Marsh Designs. She has been sewing professionally for over 14 years, and specializes in tailoring, garment alterations, embroidery and teaching. Laura draws on her years of experience in the sewing world to provide excellent tuition on many varied subjects, such as pattern fitting, dressmaking, pattern drafting; as well as many other sewing related topics. She studied at The Arts Institute in Bournemouth (currently known as Arts University Bournemouth), as well as attending Oxford Brookes college for various short courses. At the present time Laura continues to work with other businesses on small bespoke garment runs and tailoring. As well as being a current contributor to Sewing World Magazine; producing sewing patterns and garments for new editions.
