Having trained as a textile designer back in the late 70’s, it’s only recently I have let this part of my life re-emerge. I attended Central School of Art and Design, graduation with a BA (Hons) in textile design using animals as my theme and furnishing fabrics and knitted toys as the medium. My first job was as a knitting pattern writer for Emu Wools and created a number of a hand knit patterns. When leaving to start my family, I was lucky enough to continue to freelance and had a few patterns featured in women's magazines. After this time, life took over and, on the whole, creativity took a back seat until recently when I’ve been picking up my paint brushes and knitting needles one more.
