By: English Vintage Retro

Born in 1980, shellsuite's, clip-on earrings and stiletoes are what memories of my childhood are made of. My comforter was a Popple and sugar sandwiches would always be my first choice of lunch. A real 80's child. But as I grew up and became a teenager I would enjoy nothing more than going through my older sisters wardrobe, (she loved vintage clothing) and dressing up in the wonders that I found. I would then head to the video shop to try my luck out, by renting out a video that was beyond my age. At the start of my visual studies degree I was inspired by the patterns of the fabric of my past. From the blocks or colour and geometric shapes on my shellsuite's to the ditsy floral prints from my sisters wardrobe. Whilst at uni I found a new passion and fell head of heels for it. My house share was filled with all things retro. And I started to collect Pop Art, which still has a place on my walls 15 years on
