Smudge the Slug with Ivor the Spider and Dottie Ladybird.

By: Jenny Kenna

This design is from my book Smudge the Slug. The idea for the story came to me when a slug got electrocuted in the circuit board of my robotic mower. It occurred to me that many creatures are always looking for shelter or somewhere safe to hide. And, this book is all about a likeable slug who's only dream is to discover a safe place to live. Achieving this causes all kinds of dilemmas. When he thinks he's found the perfect home he discovers it's also home to a grumpy spider and a snobbish ladybird. There's never a place to hide for Smudge because wherever he goes he can be always traced & it's all due to a personal problem his HORRIBLE SLIME! My style of illustration was not suitable for this book so my friend Giando Barbera came to the rescue with these fun illustrations.
