Papyrus Bud 33

By: grumbleguts

I am not an artist or designer - but I do make my own clothes. The hardest part in that is finding fabric in colours you like. No matter how well made a blouse or dress is - if it's not in a colour you like - it's a failure. I drew one motif free hand and offer it in many combinations of colours and layouts. The pattern size and lay outs can be changed - but for me - a pattern is simply a vehicle for the colours. I grew up around Paisley pattern and Persian pattern motifs - and spent some years in Egypt where I loved the ancient artwork. Hence - my first attempts are based on an opening papyrus bud. Only one pattern - but so many colours!
