I am a creative - whilst textiles was my best subject at school, I initially pursued other professional and caring careers. Eventually I embraced music and became a qualified ethnomusicologist. A decade into this immersive career I became seriously ill. During recovery I gravitated back to creative design as a way to manage pain and facilitate recovery; I embrace balanced mirrored designs (inspired by nature). After 6 arduous months I managed a few lines and shapes per day. Initially I struggled to click off the lids from four acrylic pens as I attempted to color a basic Flower of Life pattern without going over the edges. It was an achievement to color having spent weeks gasping for air in isolation. Despite difficulty with everyday tasks, I find the creativity both helpful and empowering. The designs in this store are a few of the fruits of this developing journey. I'm discovering the healing benefits within sacred geometry, perhaps as a precursor to that of sound therapy... my creative journey continues... be inspired (Armani Shepherd)
