The possibilities to create handmade and unique gifts, clothes, sewing patterns, collages from my designs are absolutely endless. My business began when I wanted to buy a unique gift for a friend’s birthday, this was a Personalised Pig Cushion. I couldn’t find anything close to it and searched everywhere, so I decided to sketch, print to fabric and sew the cushion myself! I used Woven Monkey to print the fabric and I was very impressed with the quality of the print and fabric. The gift was so very well received, my friend was absolutely thrilled and so impressed with me! Others were asking where I had purchased it from! I could see the joy and excitement experienced from a hand illustrated, handmade fabric item. Therefore a few months later and.... SewLike was borne! I hold SewLike weekly craft stalls where I sell cushions and plush figures and patterns made up from the fabric. Its an absolute thrill for me having a craft stall and chatting to customers about my products. I actually sew and design at my stall so my processes can be seen and Personalised Plushes, Sewing Patterns and Cushions are made 'while they wait'… my customers absolutely love this, it certainly adds a unique personal touch.
