I am originally from South-Africa where I first had a career as a Ballerina at the State Theatre in Pretoria and then as a Graphic Designer. I studied Information Design and Marketing at the University of Pretoria and worked at my own Graphic Design studio – Atala Studios. Since we moved to the UK in 2000, I am focused on my painting and design. I am inspired by people, places, flowers, moods, music, my four children and most importantly my love for Jesus. I work with oil, acrylic, pastels, watercolours, ink and pencils. I enjoy mosaic art as well. My theatrical- and- graphic design background are an integral part of my expressive style and passion .Although I prefer creating what I feel, I do a lot of commissions and enjoy the challenge of each new project.
